Designed specifically for 2022-2023 models of the Ironwood, Ironwood XL, Timberline, and Timberline XL, this crucial component ensures the even circulation of hardwood smoke throughout the cook chamber, resulting in perfectly cooked, wood-fired food every time.
Just like a convection oven, the induction fan circulates air and maintains the fire by distributing hardwood smoke within the cook chamber. Its intelligent operation adjusts fan speed intermittently based on the temperature setting, cooking mode (Super Smoke or normal), and the rate of temperature change, guaranteeing precise temperature control for optimal results.
Replacing the draft induction fan is straightforward:
- Unplug the Grill: Disconnect the grill from the power supply to prevent electrical hazards.
- Locate the Fan: The induction fan is situated beneath the hopper, facing upwards. It's typically white with orange wires connected to it.
- Remove Screws: Use a 6mm wrench or nut driver to remove the four mounting screws securing the fan.
- Remove the Fan Motor: Carefully pull the fan out from underneath the hopper.
- Install the New Fan: Insert the new draft induction fan and secure it using the original mounting screws.
- Reconnect Wires: Plug the orange wire Molex connector back into the controller.
